Pirat Razor Tattoo Machine Review

The Pirat Razor has stunning visuals and outstanding performance. A bohemian handmade coil tattoo machine for those with a more thoughtful soul.

Razor Shader Pirat Tattoo Machine

The Pirat Razor is an outstanding coil tattoo machine boasting a stunning iron frame with vintage wooden handle. It can not only offer a visual enhancement to your tattoo shop;

This tool is perfect for creating solid lines, as well as for some coloring and shading.

Fully customizable, The Razor comes with either black, transparent, or white coils, and it works best at a voltage between 4.5 and 6 volts. Having said this, important to note that the voltage will depend on what sort of work you need to perform; if its lining them the minimum voltage would be 4.5V and if shading or coloring, the maximum voltage would be 6 v.

Have a feeling on the required voltage and what you think is suitable based on you hand speed.

Made from iron, the unit is not the lightest on the market. Surprisingly though, it’s not one of the heaviest either, standing at just 6.52 ounces (180 g).

A duty cycle of 50-53% and a speed without needles between 135 and 140Hz ensure versatility. Perhaps the unit is not the easiest to use, and it may take some time for beginners to learn how to operate it. But once you do though, this coil machine is one of those tools you will never put down.

Pirat Razor: Final Comments

Designed for experienced tattoo artists, this handmade tattoo machine comes with a bunch of exciting features. Perhaps the best is the possibility to customize everything, from the color of the finish to the type of contact, which can be either classic or RCA connector.

Despite its vintage aspect, the gun comes with unexpected features though.
